Marky Stein has worked as an outplacement consultant to over seventy-five Fortune 500 companies, including Sun Microsystems, Toshiba, Maxtor, Alza, Fujitsu, Cisco Systems, Tandem, Eastman-Kodak, Hewlett-Packard, Becton-Dickenson, Lockheed-Martin, Pratt and Whitney, Levi-Strauss, Capital One Financial, 3Com, Solyndra, Nanosolar, NUMMI, Dell and others.


Ms. Stein has presented Career and Job Development seminars for audiences of up to 300 participants at Stanford University, West Valley College, Women-for-Hire, Westech and Brass Ring Job Fairs, the International Career Development Conference, California Job Journal Job Fairs, County of Santa Cruz Health and Human Services and others.

Ms. Stein is a regular guest on television, radio and web casts.  She was recognized as an interview expert on Monster.com (2001-2011), and as a job search expert on AOL Time/Warner’s iVillage.com. She is a contributor to the careerjournal.com from the Wall Street Journal. Marky is also the producer and principal talent for a KMVT Mountain View community television show, “Jobs Buzz Television.”


Ms. Stein has a B.A. in Psychology with Honors from UC Santa Cruz, has done graduate work in Counseling and Career Development at JFK University.  In addtion, she holds Certificates as a Job Search Trainer, Career Counselor, Life Coach, Career Coach and Job Loss Recovery Coach. She is now working on her fourth book, “How to Become a Career Coach,” while teaching and mentoring other career coaches.


Ms. Stein has had a private practice in career consulting since 1992.  She has worked with students, managers and executives in almost every industry. She currently works as a Career Advisor at work2future Foundation in San Jose, CA and is President of the Institute for Career Coaching in Los Gatos, CA.
