Marky Stein is an internationally known career coach four-time bestselling author (McGraw-Hill). She founded her own career and corporate outplacement consulting company "Marky Stein, Career Coach" in 1989 near San Francisco and in 1998 she opened a telecoaching practice with clients from such countries as Poland, Greece, Australia, Great Britain, Canada, China and others. Barbera Sher, Career Coach and celebrated PBS personality calls Marky's work, "practical, inspired, kind and wise."
Marky's articles on career development and job seeking have appeared numerous times in the Wall Street Journal and she is a Career Expert on the popular web site, Monster.com and former Job Search Expert on AOL's iVillage.com website for women. From 2003 to present she has had her own column "The Interview Expert", on one of the top job search and career information web sites in the world, Monster.com.
Ms. Stein uses standard and highly "outside the box" methods and programs - in person, by telephone, via Skype, on the internet, through email and in person in her San Jose, CA offices to really give you a solid feel and a clear picture of a career that sounds perfect for you and then shows you exactly how to get it - FAST. Ms. Stein is a Certified Career Coach, Certified Career Consultant, Certified Job Search Trainer and Certified Job Loss Recovery Coach. She also trained for 2 years at the University of California at Santa Cruz with the founder of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) while earning her degree in the Psychology of Communication. Before Ms. Stein worked as a career counselor, she worked her way up from the bottom to become an Executive in the Film and Television industries. Her latest production, an episodic children's show earned an Emmy Award. Some of Marky's first seminars while transitioning to becoming a career consultant were at the Learning Annex in San Francisco and were called "Breaking In To Film and Television".
In addition to running an active private practice, Marky is a career guidance instructor at San Jose City College/Workforce Institute for unemployed people seeking new jobs or careers due to layoffs and for clients interested in starting their own business. Marky specializes in teaching "Green and Clean" career planning to those interested in exploring jobs or businesses in the widely growing "renewable energy" sector.
